R.Y. Livestock Sales Inc. is a livestock auction market located 2½ miles north of Rio Grande City, Texas on F.M. 755. We are located 105 miles from Laredo Tx, 105 mile from Brownsville, Tx. and 4 miles from the Starr Camargo International Bridge at Rio Grande City, Tx.. We are located at the closest distance to Mexico's largest industrial city- Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico thru the Starr Camargo International Bridge. Our sales are every Friday and start at 12:00 noon, except on some holidays. We are the only livestock auction market that has a "Complete Export Facility"on the same premises along with a U.S.D.A. tick eradication office and dip-vat. With Mexico's constant demand for stocker and slaughter cattle, this makes R.Y. Livestock Sales Inc. the most convenient livestock auction market along the Texas-Mexico border. There are several feedlots plus also several big ranches that graze cattle on pre-conditioning programs for some of the feedlots. Shrinkage, bruising, death loss and freight costs are major factors that affect cattle prices. By reducing these factors, our buyers can afford to pay more for cattle that sell thru our market facility yielding higher returns for sellers and less expense for buyers. All these factors help put more dollars into our sellers profits. The feedback that has come to us from our buyers over the course of the past years is that the quality of cattle that are sold thru our market are good quality cattle that can be shipped anywhere with confidence. As a result of increased sales volume, more buyers are now attracted to R.Y. Livestock Sales Inc.. Our customers, both sellers and buyers are used to us promoting the cattle that has been consigned prior to our sales. Our capacity is approximately 1500 head of cattle.
